How to Code Raid in Rust

What is Code Raiding in Rust?

In Rust, securing a base effectively requires placing a code lock on doors, especially if you plan to play with multiple people. Each code lock consists of a 4-digit code, resulting in a total of 10,000 possible combinations. This vast number of combinations can be exploited by players attempting to gain unauthorized access to another player's base. Although code raiding was simpler in the past, recent updates have introduced measures to combat this practice. Today, you can attempt around ten codes before the door either inflicts significant damage on you or locks completely, indicated by two red lights on the code lock. It's important to note that each code attempt results in some damage. Therefore, the goal in code raiding is to try as many codes as possible. Using our app, you and your friends can streamline this process by receiving code suggestions, ranked from the most commonly used codes in Rust to the least used, thereby enhancing your raiding efficiency.

Steps to Code Raid in Rust

To start code raiding in Rust, you need to first find a base that is worth your time because it is going to take a while unless you get lucky. From our team's tests, it usually takes between 500-1000 code attempts to succeed. If you reach the upper end of this range without success, it might not be worth continuing. Once you find a promising base, make sure the occupants are offline and the base has multiple doors with code locks. This is important because a code lock goes into a timeout after several failed attempts, so having multiple doors gives you more opportunities to keep trying.

Next, gather a team and invite them to our app. Each team member should farm around 60 cloth to craft about six sleeping bags. These sleeping bags are crucial as they allow you to keep respawning near the base. Place the sleeping bags strategically around the raid site to ensure quick and consistent re-entry after each attempt. Now you are ready to start guessing codes. Make sure to coordinate with your team, take turns, and keep track of the codes you've tried inside of our app to avoid repetition.

Good luck, and remember, persistence is key to a successful code raid in Rust!
